HISTORY CHILDHOOD
As a kid, Haru never particularly had many friends. Instead, he found company within animals, and mostly his cousin, Kiiyo. He never had any siblings, any other companions other than his mother, who was always busy and made excuses to not take him anywhere. Despite this, he still had a pretty positive childhood. He was raised in Seoul, Korea, but always took interest in America and the English language. This is possibly what drove him to learn it fluently, even if he wasn't the most cleverest person to exist. He did enjoy school, to an extent of course, like any normal child. He struggled with math, but thankfully Kiiyo didn't, and helped him with a lot of the stuff he didn't really get. Although he was extremely close with his cousin, he was admittedly jealous of him. He was obviously older, and he was extremely talented, and he got a lot of attention from people. One of his fondest memories with Kiiyo was upon hearing he got signed to a record label, with his best friend Jin, and the two were being thrown in with another couple of newly discovered artists to create a K-Pop band.
TEENAGER
It wasn't too long after that when Haru began getting strange stomach cramps that started to limit his breathing, and make everything difficult for him. He started having days off of school, after it got to the point where they hurt so bad that it was physically impossible for him to stand him. Doctors believed it was normal at first, that he just had stomach cramps. But it wasn't until Haru woke up in the middle of the night, screaming and crying, trying to catch his breath that they decided to do something about it. After being admitted to the hospital and tied to wires, fluid tubes.. Haru wouldn't know this was where he'd fight one of the toughest battles life can ever throw at you. After a few tests, the results came back. Positive for Adenocarcinoma. A critical type of lung cancer. Being at the young age of fourteen at the time, Haru's world simply came crashing down around him as realisation struck. It was believed he wouldn't make it through the end of the year, and for the time he was given, he was going to be locked in those small, detergent scented hospital rooms receiving all types of treatment and medication. He put up with it of course, living in complete and utter misery. His mother barely visited, always on business trips, and Kiiyo was now with a band - meaning he was always out of the country, travelling the world. They kept in touch through texting, phone calls and Skype, but it was rare that he came and saw how he was in person. This didn't mean Kiiyo didn't care of course, because in fact, Kiiyo was a vital part of his 'getting better'. He was his supporter.
Not long after this, Haru was given another 'doctor'. This of course, was Charlie Nelson. He was an enthusiast for everything of the sorts, the type of guy with a bouncy, positive attitude that was likeable. If you wasn't a now fifteen year old boy strapped down to a hospital bed with tubes weaving in and out of your skin. Needless to say, at first, Haru didn't like his attempt of reassuring him he was going to live. He knew there was a pretty rare chance of that happening. But as time went on, the two grew closer, to the point where Kiiyo even suspected they were dating. But Haru could have never loved Charlie in that kind of way. Charlie was the big brother he never had, the constant support he needed. But one night, after Charlie had gone out to a college party his friend was hosting, Haru had rolled over and the wire connecting him to his fluid stall had disconnected. He couldn't breath again, and a repeat of the faithful night of the diagnosis happened again. This caused his state to drop to the worst anybody had ever seen him in. His skin became sickly pale, eyes sunken, the colour in his gaze completely drained and empty, and his body wasted away. He was dangerously underweight, and due to his fragile bones, he couldn't stand. But this didn't stop Charlie's throwing around 'you're going to live' like it was nobodies business. Kiiyo knew all about his state, and this worried him too, but unlike Haru, Charlie's reassuring words worked with him.
Within time, and with much patience, Haru slowly started getting better. Baby steps. He begun being able to dress himself again, to feeding himself properly, to taking a few steps, then to walking, showering alone.. signs of getting better. Not long after this did Charlie get the news he was going to be moved, and Haru was getting a new nurse as well as a room-mate for company. Despite Charlie not being the one to care for him anymore, they still remained extremely close. Plus the fact Charlie's new patient, Killian, was pretty close with the boy who was going to be his room-mate. Winter Charlot, a burns patient who'd been in the hospital for only a week or so. Surprisingly, Haru and Winter found they both had quite a bit in common. This was ranging from music taste, to sense of fashion, and even hobbies. So as you can guess, they got along perfectly. But as time passed, he slowly began to realise he was developing feelings towards the white-haired boy, feelings he had never developed towards anybody else.
It was later that year when the news came. Three years of fighting, and there was not a single cell of cancer left in his body. It was gone. He was healthy, free. The only problem with this was now that he could leave the hospital, he didn't really have anywhere to go. His mother was in Europe for 'business purposes', and Kii was in China, touring. He didn't have anywhere to stay. But luckily for him, Winter was going home on the same day, travelling back to America where Haru actually had an acceptance for an art course at a College near where Winter lived. The boy offered him a place to stay, which he obviously had to accept. After only a couple of weeks of living together with Winter's leopard/room-mate, Yixang, the two opened up about their feelings towards each other. They started dating days after, and Haru was never a happier person, living in Radnor with the boy he wanted to spend the rest of his life next to.
Though it wasn't long before Haru had decided to leave Radnor and return to Korea to visit his family - which consisted of Kiiyo and Jin, basically. Winter agreed to come with him, but originally, both of them had agreed after they would return to America. It didn't quite work out like that. Whilst there, Kiiyo fell into a very bad place. He had always suffered with Chronic Depression, and it was only thanks to meds that he was usually happy. But he had stopped taking them, and was refusing to. So Winter returned to America alone, whilst worried Haru remained with his cousin.
However when everything was over, and Haru returned, he found out that Winter had gone off on a University course. He is now living alone in Greenwich, suffering a very long distance relationship.

It wasn't too long after that when Haru began getting strange stomach cramps that started to limit his breathing, and make everything difficult for him. He started having days off of school, after it got to the point where they hurt so bad that it was physically impossible for him to stand him. Doctors believed it was normal at first, that he just had stomach cramps. But it wasn't until Haru woke up in the middle of the night, screaming and crying, trying to catch his breath that they decided to do something about it. After being admitted to the hospital and tied to wires, fluid tubes.. Haru wouldn't know this was where he'd fight one of the toughest battles life can ever throw at you. After a few tests, the results came back. Positive for Adenocarcinoma. A critical type of lung cancer. Being at the young age of fourteen at the time, Haru's world simply came crashing down around him as realisation struck. It was believed he wouldn't make it through the end of the year, and for the time he was given, he was going to be locked in those small, detergent scented hospital rooms receiving all types of treatment and medication. He put up with it of course, living in complete and utter misery. His mother barely visited, always on business trips, and Kiiyo was now with a band - meaning he was always out of the country, travelling the world. They kept in touch through texting, phone calls and Skype, but it was rare that he came and saw how he was in person. This didn't mean Kiiyo didn't care of course, because in fact, Kiiyo was a vital part of his 'getting better'. He was his supporter.
Not long after this, Haru was given another 'doctor'. This of course, was Charlie Nelson. He was an enthusiast for everything of the sorts, the type of guy with a bouncy, positive attitude that was likeable. If you wasn't a now fifteen year old boy strapped down to a hospital bed with tubes weaving in and out of your skin. Needless to say, at first, Haru didn't like his attempt of reassuring him he was going to live. He knew there was a pretty rare chance of that happening. But as time went on, the two grew closer, to the point where Kiiyo even suspected they were dating. But Haru could have never loved Charlie in that kind of way. Charlie was the big brother he never had, the constant support he needed. But one night, after Charlie had gone out to a college party his friend was hosting, Haru had rolled over and the wire connecting him to his fluid stall had disconnected. He couldn't breath again, and a repeat of the faithful night of the diagnosis happened again. This caused his state to drop to the worst anybody had ever seen him in. His skin became sickly pale, eyes sunken, the colour in his gaze completely drained and empty, and his body wasted away. He was dangerously underweight, and due to his fragile bones, he couldn't stand. But this didn't stop Charlie's throwing around 'you're going to live' like it was nobodies business. Kiiyo knew all about his state, and this worried him too, but unlike Haru, Charlie's reassuring words worked with him.
Within time, and with much patience, Haru slowly started getting better. Baby steps. He begun being able to dress himself again, to feeding himself properly, to taking a few steps, then to walking, showering alone.. signs of getting better. Not long after this did Charlie get the news he was going to be moved, and Haru was getting a new nurse as well as a room-mate for company. Despite Charlie not being the one to care for him anymore, they still remained extremely close. Plus the fact Charlie's new patient, Killian, was pretty close with the boy who was going to be his room-mate. Winter Charlot, a burns patient who'd been in the hospital for only a week or so. Surprisingly, Haru and Winter found they both had quite a bit in common. This was ranging from music taste, to sense of fashion, and even hobbies. So as you can guess, they got along perfectly. But as time passed, he slowly began to realise he was developing feelings towards the white-haired boy, feelings he had never developed towards anybody else.
It was later that year when the news came. Three years of fighting, and there was not a single cell of cancer left in his body. It was gone. He was healthy, free. The only problem with this was now that he could leave the hospital, he didn't really have anywhere to go. His mother was in Europe for 'business purposes', and Kii was in China, touring. He didn't have anywhere to stay. But luckily for him, Winter was going home on the same day, travelling back to America where Haru actually had an acceptance for an art course at a College near where Winter lived. The boy offered him a place to stay, which he obviously had to accept. After only a couple of weeks of living together with Winter's leopard/room-mate, Yixang, the two opened up about their feelings towards each other. They started dating days after, and Haru was never a happier person, living in Radnor with the boy he wanted to spend the rest of his life next to.
Though it wasn't long before Haru had decided to leave Radnor and return to Korea to visit his family - which consisted of Kiiyo and Jin, basically. Winter agreed to come with him, but originally, both of them had agreed after they would return to America. It didn't quite work out like that. Whilst there, Kiiyo fell into a very bad place. He had always suffered with Chronic Depression, and it was only thanks to meds that he was usually happy. But he had stopped taking them, and was refusing to. So Winter returned to America alone, whilst worried Haru remained with his cousin.
However when everything was over, and Haru returned, he found out that Winter had gone off on a University course. He is now living alone in Greenwich, suffering a very long distance relationship.
